Ensemble Designs Brings 11 New Broadcast Products to IBC
Grass Valley, CA – 11 September 2008
Amsterdam, Netherlands, 11 September 2008 – Ensemble Designs is introducing 11 new products at IBC including a 3Gb/s test signal generator and a digital to analog and HDMI converter for use broadcast, manufacturing, and post applications.
BrightEye 72 provides HD or SD digital to analog video conversion with the full range of analog output formats available for SD, 1.5 Gb/s HD and 3 Gb/s HD. The HDMI output is especially useful for confidence monitoring of all digital video signals. The BrightEye 72 can convert 3 Gb/s HD signals to HDMI for monitoring in post and broadcast facilities.
Four new products for test signal generation and sync pulse generation will be featured at IBC inclyding the BrightEye 57 SPG/TSG. The BrightEye 57 is a top-of-the-line SPG/TSG for mobile, post, and broadcast. The BrightEye 57 is small at 143 mm x 40 mm x 140 mm. Outputs are programmable and offer many signal choices including: Tri-level sync, HD SDI, SD SDI, 3G, composite, AES and LTC. This new TSG/SPG offers a reference solution for broadcast and post facilities working with 3G signals. Custom signals can be created on a computer and transferred directly into the BirhgEye 57 using an off-the-shelf secure digital memory card. There is an SD card slot on the front of the BrightEye 57 for data transfer.
The new 7400-GPS Option provides an extremely precise frequency reference for the 7400 Sync Pulse Generator, used in broadcast. The oscillator on the 7400-GPS is more accurate than a typical internal precision standard and is equivalent in accuracy to an atomic standard. The GPS option also provides precise time of day information, which can be used to drive the 7400 module’s internal timecode generators. The 7400-GPS option integrates into the Avenue system by plugging directly onto the 7400 SPG/TSG module.
Other products on display will include new Avenue HD/SD/3G electrical and optical converters, HD/SD/3G distribution amplifiers, and an HD video protection switch used for critical feeds in satellite and broadcast.
